The following article, written by Chris Romer at the Vail Valley Partnership,  highlights a few of the ways that Eagle County Regional Airport continues to bring visitors to the Vail Valley.

Thanks to the efforts of the EGE Air Alliance, Eagle County, Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Resort Company, Town of Gypsum and numerous other public and private partners, the new flights at the Eagle County Regional Airport continue to drive visitors to our area.

1. New Washington Dulles service is performing at or above expectations with overall bookings at over 60% for the season and a strong revenue performance in December.

2. New Phoenix service is pacing to goals with overall bookings over 60% for the season with bookings pace still surging for the remainder of the season.

3. Toronto service is operating for 9 weeks starting January 29 and pacing ahead of last year for the season-long performance.

Summer schedules should be available soon.

In addition to the article, EGE is continuously working with its partners to increase air service and pursue new markets. This season, new flights to Washington Dulles and Phoenix offer customers more destinations with non-stop service increasing the total markets served from ten (10) to twelve (12) destinations.  2016 Year-End numbers reported over 164,000 revenue enplanements which is a four percent (4%) increase compared to 2015. This increase in passengers is a positive sign for the regional economy and EGE is hopeful 2017 will continue this trend.
